Abstract:
The present work regards the design and execution of a pressure mapping system at the level of the sole of the foot, based on flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors. The pressure sensor is composed of an elastomeric substrate (made of PDMS+5% aerogel powder) and a flexible Kapton substrate on which meander resistors have been screen printed. The pressure mapping system is composed of the insole embedding the integrated pressure sensors, the signal electronics block, and an Arduino MEGA R3 module for retrieving and storing the data reading from the sensors.
